Art has been my constant companion since I was a child. Since 2022 I have worked on this passion more seriously, developing my skills and broadening my techniques.
My linocuts draw from my painting experience and skills in both areas complement each other. Linocut prints are all created at home in my studio. I use battleship grey Lino as this is completely biodegradable. The block is cut with sharp Swiss tools, inked up an rolled. I use my own colour mixes and Cranfield Safewash inks. I produce single and multi colour prints.
I am inspired by nature, landscapes of the British Isles, native animal species, folklore, weather, seasons and the wheel of the year. My craft stalls offer seasonal themes and a selection of timeless pieces. I offer framed, mounted and unframed original art and limited and open edition lino and gelli plate prints.
My work is original arts and crafts based art, not in any traced, copied or digitalised form anyone else’s work. All my prints are hand rolled in my studio. All my work begins with an original sketch.
