Floyd lives and works in a quiet corner of the Dales in her studio overlooking Ingleborough. Her glass pieces are inspired by the Three Peaks. Floyd started working with glass 15 years ago when her sons fled the nest and became fascinated with the brilliance of colours available. Her hanging glass ornaments catch the sunlight and throw the colour into every corner of the room.
She also likes playing with clay and her work is unusual and involuntarily asymmetrical. Colour again is shown throughout all her pieces. She is currently working on a series of sculptures which should be available shortly. Floyd is also experimenting with a new range of flow art jewellery and has produced some unique pieces.
