I began selling my rather unconventional art in the 90’s at craft fairs and through various art galleries in and around Leeds and York.
My first pieces of sculpture were made with bread dough and then I experimented with plastic and wire which proved so popular that I sold many pieces through The Yorkshire Sculpture Park shop.
I enjoyed a period of painting with acrylics and I also experimented with glue guns on canvas.
I still like to paint and make small sculptures but I’m focused more on creating unique wall hangings with a 3D Pen which is a tool that extrudes heated plastic filament.
I might include painted fabric in my designs or embroidery thread.
I find inspiration for my art in the unparalleled beauty of The Yorkshire Dales, wildlife, birds and my imagination.
